Charnock Richard Rambling Club was formed in 1979 by a handful of local residents.
Every fortnight, 
on a Sunday, they travel by coach to various beauty spots such as:
- Yorkshire
- Derbyshire
- Wales
- Lake District
On each trip 3 or 4 walks are available & each are led by experienced leaders. The walks range from leisurely to strenuous – so there is something for everyone!
New members are always welcome & can attend up to three trial walks to see if they get the walking bug before joining.
The club also runs a Holiday Club which organises walking/social breaks further afield.
The coach ‘pick up points’ are located along the A6 and A49 up to Bamber Bridge so if you, or friends, live outside Charnock Richard you can still join the club without having to worry about transport.
