Yarrow Valley Park is a country park which follows the River Yarrow for about 6 miles. It contains lots of woodland including nature reserves, the most popular areas being Birkacre and Duxbury Woods. Parts of the park are reclaimed collieries and other old industrial sites. Angling is also permitted on the two lodges.
There’s a children’s play area & visitor’s centre on site which holds regular conservation events. The reviews posted on TripAdvisor are proof you’ll enjoy your visit.
The park can be reached easily from Charnock Richard via a public footpath through Sharratts Path.
